Evan Almighty

He is breathing on his own! It was not as smooth as we would have liked, but he is breathing like a champ now! He is laying on his tummy to kind of help his breathing and he loves it. I have never seen him without tape all over his face so it was really nice for us to get to finally see all of his face. Please continue to pray. His numbers are encouraging right now so we would like for them to stay that way. The first picture is from this morning while he was sunbathing to get his biliruben down.

Love your title! Yay for being off the vent! One baby step at a time, right? He is beautiful. I hope you all get to come home soon.

Oh, that adorable, yummy, baby face! He is beautiful. Oh, to be on your tummy... that's when babies say, "Yeah!" Praise the Lord!!! It's too funny that you called him Evan Almighty, because when you posted his name that thought came to my mind. How funny! Then I thought "Evan and the Almighty." God is holding him, that's for sure.

Evan is adorable even with all the tape and tubes. So glad to hear he is able to breathe on his own most of the time. I am praying for all of you. Please know that God will help keep you going every step of the way, even when that doesn't seem possible. He always sends a blessing when I need it most. If I can help you navigate the "system" in any way, please let me know.

Monica, I have been following Evan's progress. He is a beautiful baby boy and seems to be a little fighter. I have added all of you to our prayer list at church. Don't know if you got the msgs I left for you on facebook, if you have a nurse named Kimberly come visit you, she is a friend of mine from when my Hanna was there.
