This is the hamburger and hot dog at our church fall festival. They are very excited to go trick or treating tonight. We live in a really great neighborhood for trick or treating. The waitress will be going to a youth event at church tonight. It is the first time she won't be trick or treating with us! Why do they grow up??
Week 33. I am officially in trouble! She goes anywhere and eats everything she finds! She is really at a fun age. She figures something new out every day! She is eating anything I am eating (ha!) and she loves baby mum-mums. She still is not big on baby food. I think it is a texture thing. Maybe if I leave it a little chunky? She is drinking out of a sippy cup now, but she still prefers our cups! She pulls up to her knees all the time now so I figure it is just a matter of time until she is pulling up!
Sean is not a fan of pasta, and I love pasta. I am hoping this recipe from this recipe blog is a nice compromise. I haven't put it in the oven yet, that will have to wait until after Garrett's soccer practice and Gracie's tennis match. It really looks good though!
Week 32. Sean hijacked my camera today so I didn't get to take pics till tonight after she has cereal and baby mum-mum all over her face. Sean took a pic in the bath. At least we have the week 32 pics! ha!
I know this isn't too major or anything, but I am just so proud of her. The day before yesterday I walked into the room after switching a load of laundry and she was on her knee! She was so proud of herself! I am just documenting!
Sunday night our church had their fall festival. My kids love the fall festival. Grace is old enough this year to help with the games, and she had a blast! Carolina enjoyed watching everything and she rode her first pony! I think she enjoyed it. She kept saying "buh" which is what she calls our dog (Barbie). Garrett was pretty much a blur all night. I think we spent most of the night looking for him! He did play football for a while though. Oh, and the costumes! Grace was a waitress, Garrett a hot dog, and Carolina a hamburger!
Today is pregnancy and infant loss awareness day. I will post Carolina's weekly pics later, but right now I just want to remember Evan. I love his 12 fingers and 11 toes, even though it was indicative of the disorder that took him from us. He loved to lay on his tummy with his head to the right. He was so strong that when the nurses would reposition him, he would lift himself up and move his head right back! (The head nurse said he could not do that, until he did it right in front of her!) His skin was so soft and he had very fine hair on his shoulders. He loved to be held and hold our fingers. I love the middle picture because of the way Sean is looking at Evan. He loved to hear Sean's voice. I miss him so much. I just miss him.
At seven months you... ~Have one tooth ~Only crawl backwards ~Scoot on your rear end to go forward ~Has tried apples (not a big fan) and sweet potatoes (LOVE them) ~Starting to drink out of a sippy cup (again, not a big fan, but will drink some) ~Wearing 12 to 18 month clothes (mainly 18 month) ~Major Daddy's girl ~Growl to tell me your are not happy ~Starting to tolerate the nursery at church ~Still will not let Papa hold you (very few people can hold her, and usually not for long) ~Bath time is your favorite time of the day!
Week 30. She got her first tooth this week!! We are quiet excited around here! She also waved bye-bye to Sean this morning, which thrilled him to death! She is also sitting up in the cart at Target and Wal-mart and sat in a high chair at Panera for lunch today. She thinks she is quite the big girl! She had been eating some of the apples I made for her. She won't close her mouth! I don't think she has actually swallowed any of it! ha! I think I will try sweet potatoes next. *she was still in her pj's when we took the pics. It was a lazy morning around here!
