Evan Andrew

If you would like to read Evan's story start here March 2009
Evan was born on March 10, and passed away on March 16, 2009. To summarize his story. We knew Evan had a heart defect, Double outlet right ventricle with a VSD. He was born at UAMS so he could be transferred to the CVICU at Arkansas Children's hospital within an hour of birth. After he was born it became evident that something else was wrong. He was diagnosed with Full Trisomy 13 on March 13, 2009 (which is also National Trisomy 13 awareness day). The staff with the CVICU at Childrens, our church, our friends, and our family have simply been amazing the past three years. Not a day goes by that I am not reminded about something with Evan. My sweet friend, Steph, started Evan's Project in memory of Evan. It has been a blessing to work with the NICU and Ronald McDonald Family Room at our local hospital and it gives me an outlet for my grief. Thank you for reading about my son. A mother's greatest fear is that her child will be forgotten, so thank you for helping people remember.

So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you. John 16:22
