It's Friday - I'm in love

Week 20. She has not napped today, so pictures were not really on her list of things to do today. She really needs a good nap, momma really needs a good nap. Night before last she slept in her crib for the first time overnight. I am that paranoid momma who has the angle care monitor and so far, it has not gone off. It has a pad that goes under the mattress and it will set off an alarm if she goes 20 seconds without moving (breathing). The only time it went off was when I picked her up and took her in the living room to nurse her and forgot to turn it off. About the time I got to the living room it started beeping. Oops. Anyway. She loves her bed. She has slept wonderfully the past couple of nights! Now, if it only worked that great during the day! I am learning that she is very much a creature of habit, and if we break that routine, then she is kind of done. We ran around a little this morning and it just threw her off. Anyway. She is also rolling. She has started staying on her belly and trying to scoot where she wants to go. She scoots backwards though! She gets a little frustrated. Keeping her on a blanket is just about impossible!

5 Little M&M's

Sean's mom got all her grandkids an m&m shirt. So, we tried to take a picture with all of them! Sean taped parts of it, and it was pretty funny. 5 kids, ages 3 months, 15 months, 2 and a half, eight, and twelve. There was no way everyone was looking at the camera at the same time, and someone was usually crying or something. We had to break to chase some ducks, and Carolina had to nurse in the middle of it! Fun stuff!

I love how she is looking down, like she didn't realize she went in the water!

It's Friday - I'm in love

Week 19. We have had quite the busy day. She had her 4 month check up and shots. She really handles shots well. She may be a little fussy this evening, but no fever! She weighs 19 lbs. 2 oz. and is 27 inches long. She was off the curve on both!! Big girl! she is rolling over both ways now and you cannot keep her on her blanket when she plays. I see a lot of baby-proofing in our future!

Minnesota in July

Garrett decided he could ride a bike. Carolina went to Minnesota for the first time. Gracie ran her 2nd 5K. We had a relaxing time with family we don't get to see often enough. The weather was amazing. Good times.

Carolina's Baptism

When we went to Minnesota this month we decided to have Carolina Baptized at the church Sean grew up in. I grew up Baptist so I really had no clue what to expect. It really was a sweet service that was a lot like baby dedication. Sean's brother and his wife are Carolina's Godparents, so it was a neat service with his family.
Aaron and Kelly - her Godparents

Carolina wore *the dress* again. This dress was made over 90 years ago for her Great Grandma Mabel. It was made by Grandma Mabel's aunt Maggie. Grandma Mabel, Grandma Maureen, and Sean had all worn this baptismal dress.

It's Friday - I'm in love

Week 18. She is 4 months old now! It is going by fast! She is a big drool monster. She is getting much more coordinated with grabbing things also. Everything goes straight into her mouth. She watches everyone now, especially our dog. As I have said before, the dog sniff and tries to get a good lick in every once in a while, now Carolina tries to grab the dog. Barbie doesn't quite know what to think about that. Her sleeping has not been that great this week. I think she is just really off schedule because of all the traveling we have been doing. She is taking a great afternoon nap though. Problem is, I am so tired from getting up several times during the night that I am napping with her instead of getting things done! We are going to have to put the bumbo up. I used it for these pics, but I was right there. She will arch her back and straighten her legs and throw her head back. She thinks it is funny! She loves to be upside down, but I am scared she is going to pop right out of it!

I am still here!

Here are the week 16 pics. We were in Minnesota so these two weeks didn't get posted.

Week 17. She is such a big girl! We drove to Minnesota, and she did great! 13 hours in a car! We drive at night and the kids sleep. She was no exception. We waited a little longer and closer to the time she goes to sleep (around 10:00) and she slept. She woke up about 5:00 to nurse when I had stopped for gas. Then she went back to sleep. She woke up when we stopped to grab breakfast, and she nursed. She talked to the kids for a while and went back to sleep. We were debating flying or driving and I think driving is the way to go. She did great. I don't think she would have done as well if we had drove during the day, but the big kids don't do as well when we drive during the day! ha!

sorry for the blurry pics. They don't look blurry on my computer, but when I post them, they look blurry. Who knows!
